Tuesday and Thursday (Week 13)
Today, we talk about Graphic in class. We discuss about its functions, principles and so on. It is interesting to really know what graphic is. Our surrounding itself has so many elements of graphic. Basically, graphic is a combination of science and arts. It combines both of these elements. In education, mastering how to use graphic is an advantage. We can attract students with interesting visuals in our class using slide presentation and stuffs. Personally, I am very week in this thing. After this tutorial class, I realize that I know very less about graphic and as a future teacher, it is very important for me to know how to benefit from this knowledge. I hope I can the knowledge and input I gain today for my student when I teach. It is surely expand my ways of teaching as well.

Tuesday and Thursday (Week 12)
For this week, we have a presentation for AR project. In our group, we presented our plan in front of the class using the coggle that we created last week. Before the presentation starts, Dr. Fariza explained how to project be made. The focus for it is to make sure all group's project achieved the objectives. Dr. Fariza also told us about the materials that are needed to complete this assignment. During presentation session, all groups was given some advices by Dr. Fariza to make each group's project will brings benefits to the audience. What I learn is that, if we want to teach the public, we have to make sure that the knowledge that we shared will make one's life better or at least improving general knowledge among audiences. Teamwork also very important. Today, I almost do the presentation alone because my teammates came late. Although yes, I cam do it on my own, but for me and from my experience as well, it will be easier to do a task together with other people rather than doing it alone. The outcome is always better when we do something together compare to when we do it on our own. Today, the presentation is easier for our group, although only two of us present in Dr. Fariza tutorial class. We divide the topic, and the responsibility is lessen. It helps us to be more focus on topic we get and able to explain very well. I can imagine if I present without my teammate, It'll be harder. During lecture class on Thursday, we did not go to Dewan Budiman as usual. We went for seminar about "Securing Our Cyberspace" that was held in Faculty of Technology and Science Media (FTSM). The seminar as very interesting, for it makes me realize that we are exposed to cybercrime as we start using social media and any online application that has our personal informations.I learned some tips on how I can prevent myself from being scammed, tricked, and being a victim to those cyber criminal. Now, I become more alert and careful, I will make sure to share the input i get from this seminar to all my friends, especially my fellow friends in my village that lack of knowledge about cyberspace just like me before. Tuesday (Week 11)
This week, we show our plan for our AR material using coggle with creating a mind-map to Dr. Fariza. For I personally, this is my first time using coggle. I used to create a lot of mind-map online before, but I never tried using this apps. So today I learn learn a new thing. Coggle is very easy to use. Everything is simple, to edit and as well as downloading the mind-map. I will make sure to teach my student about this apps and encourage them to create their own mind-map using it. As for values, I learn that teamwork is very important. I, Hafiz and Exmal finished today's task in no time because we work together, we think together and discuss together about everything. So, I will also make sure my student learn about this values. No matter how good we are on our own, teaming up with others will be always better. Tuesday (Week 10)
In this week, we learn about Aurasma Studio. This week is the most interesting week for me so far. I got a chance to learn about Aurasma. I was amazed by what Aurasma can do, if a person like me know how to use Aurasma Studio. So many input I gained. I can use Aurasma in my class when I become a teacher. I really really believe that if I master how to use this application and apply it in my class, I am so sure that my students also will be amazed and that is very good for me to get their attention and not bored. I never thought I will have this chance. While in the lecture on Thursday, we learn about Moovly, Biteable and Powtoon. This is not new for me since I have an experience using all them. But, back to the basic, I still feel grateful for knowing how to use these apps. Although they are a bit childish, but still for secondary school students, they will feel amazed seeing how these apps work. Roughly, I have planned that, all of these apps will become my medium in my teaching. Thursday (Week 9)
In this week, we still do not have class for tutor, but we have lecture. During the lecture, we discuss about, the process of media appraisal. We watched past years' videos made by seniors and discuss about them. I learn a lot, especially on how to make a decision while checking others' works. I also learn that, as a teacher, there are step by step on how to check the media that created by our students. Cannot be bias. In the future, I will personally make sure that the media that I created brings significant input for my students. As for my career, the lecture this week was very interesting and helps me to become a good educator especially when I teach about innovation and technology or a course that will requires a lot of assignments or works that relate to media.a Tuesday (Week 8)
For this week, both tutor and lecture class was cancelled due to some more important things to do by he lecturer. For example, Dr. Fariza handled a seminar about innovation and technology itself, that why she could not make it teaching in the our tutor class. But, I personally continue doing my task in openlearning. It teaches me a lot about innovation and technology and how to teach young children in the future. Tuesday (Week 7)
Today, we share our weebly URLs to Dr. Fariza. I'm amazed because she is able to check the progress of our works by just using URLs. Personally, I learn about how to create an account for Piktochart. We have attended a talk about Piktochart before, but due to bad internet connection, most of us unable to create one that time. And for me, it is today. I finally have my own Piktochart. In the future, I will make sure to recommend this apps to my students. As a student in this twentieth century, student will have to study how to use in their class. I think I have to learn about it deeper now if I want to teach my students. For now, as a start, I use Piktochart to create a creative resume. This is important for joo-seeking and I have to learn it before I manage to create one. During the lecture on 26 October 2017, we were taught on how to become a good teacher. There are so many tips. The lecturer gave us a lot of tips and techniques in teaching students. I learnt that teaching is not easy. I have to acquire special skills and ability to read my students' minds. So, the lecture had helped me so much to improve my skill and preparing myself to become an educator. Tuesday (Week 6)
For this week, we don't have tutor class but we have lecture at Dewan Budiman on Thursday as usual. What I can reflect is that by the task that was given by Dr. Fariza. That week without tutor class, Dr. Fariza told us to do the activity in openlearning. She told us to do Module 2, 3 and 4. So many things I learn in one week. In Module 2 I learn about types of media and technology to support teaching and learning nowadays. Basically, there are three types of media. Each of them brings significant role in teaching and learning. As a teacher, I will need to use all of these elements wisely, so that my students will really participate in my class. In module 3, I learn about disruptive technology. I can see the innovation, E-learning and M-Learning. Disruptive innovation means, the changes that happen in education especially the methods. Old method was replaced by new method which is faster, funnier and easier. M-Learning means studying without using books and pencils a hundred percent. Students and teachers use smartphones, gadgets, laptops and so much more. E-Learning is when teachers and students use technology's information to facilitate learning and teaching. Education nowadays are learners-centered. That is the most important thing I learn from this module. In module 4, I learn the skills on how to find information. Thing that stressed the most in this module is about PLAGIARISM. Plagiarism is someone's behavior that like to copy others' works while doing their works and claim it as their own. They don't give credit to the person that they took his or her work. As a teacher, I will make sure my student don't do plagiarism. If they do, then I will punish them with a very bad punishment like fail them in that course or ask them to do the task again. I won't tolerate with this kind of habit. Tuesday (Week 5)
In this week, we just continue what we have learned a week before. But it is more precise. We learn how to make our e-portfolio more interesting with put youtube video in it, put pictures and we also create Padlet as an item that we can put in our weebly blog specifically. Basically, Padlet is a free application to create an online bulletin board that you can use to display information for any topic. Easily create an account and build a new board. You can add images, links, videos, and more. This element is very important to make our blog more interesting and easy to display informations. Each of item that we want to put in our blog has its own way to be applied. It is not easy for me since I'm not a person who really used to technology stuffs. But, with lecturer's help, I can do it slowly. As a teacher, I really need to master this kind of thing. The reason is, firstly, it helps me attract my students' attention and focus if my weebly look interesting if I do online class using e-portfolio. If my e-portfolio seems boring, my students won't enjoy my class. Thus, it is important for me to make my e-portfolio more attracting. Other than that, I really believe that learning won't be the same like what happen in these days. Students probably will study with creating their own blogs, e-portfolios and any online learning methods. So, as a teacher I really need to master it, so that I can teach them how to create, manage and make their e-portfolios more interesting. Tuesday (Week 4)
For this week, we started our first class for tutorial with Dr. Fariza as well. In this class, Dr. Fariza explained more detail about what we need to do and accomplish for this course. But, what we really stressed on during class was about creating our own e-portfolio. We spent the longest time in this class to discuss about it. For Dr. Fariza's class, we use Weebly to create e-portfolio. E-portfolio is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed by user, usually in the web. I never had an e-portfolio before, so I feel happy for this course that give me chance to learn and even create one for myself. But, I also face problem at the same time. Since I'm not used to things like this, it is very hard for me at first. I don't know almost all of the function, how to create and how to manage my own e-portfolio. To me, it is very complicated. Thankfully, as time past by and with the helps from my friends, I slowly learn and getting used to it. E-portfolio is very good especially for a future teacher like me. I can use my weebly to share information, do discussion, and online Teaching and Learning with my students. It is also easier for me to do extra-class. With my blog, I can have a session with my students without need to meet them face-to-face. We can just do extra-class online. So, maybe I will create a new e-portfolio special for my career in the future soon. |
